But such calls remain a rarity on your television. Never mind that some newer, connected smart TVs provide video-calling options. Or that in recent years companies such as Cisco and Logitech have introduced set-top options for turning your living room

Shelf Life Vanilla ICE

One CG ballroom dancing scene looks laughably bad, coupled with totally inappropriate music. Nevertheless, I'm willing to put up with a few CG soldiers with foot sliding problems if it's in exchange for a meaty plot. There seems to be too much plot

DESIGN IDEAS FOR BUILT INS AROUND A FIREPLACE?

Q: In my family room that is 16' ceilings and very open concept to the kitchen and dining rooms, I have a pop out wall that has a fireplace built into it and a tv mounted above. I am looking to do some sort of shelving on the sides of this but not sure how to go about desgining.

A: Depends more on the immediate surroundings, like the fireplace, the color of the walls, etc., rather than the ceiling. I'd say don't make them a focal point, so don't make them white. Make them darker and let them fall into the background.

Where do I place my center channel speaker?

Q: I am forced to have my 6 speakers (2 front wide, and 4 surround) near the top of the wall but all are pointed at my seating area. I am able to have my center channel anywhere from right above my TV or up level with all of my speakers. Should the center be placed as low as possible?

A: Since the purpose of the centre-channel speaker is to reproduce the dialogue, it should be placed as close to the screen as possible. Directly above or below the screen is ideal.

Acer Revo RL100 (UR20P)

Computer makers seem to have a hard time getting the component balance just right when it comes to compact, media-centric PCs. For example, back in February of 2011, we lamented the cramped 250GB hard drive in our review configuration of Zotac's tiny ZBox AD03BR Plus  home-theater PC—hardly enough space for most media libraries these days.

Likewise, in mid-July, we took a long, hard look at Apple’s latest compact desktop, the  2011 Mac Mini , shortly after its release. There, we saw an opposite problem: While Apple added an Intel CPU that’s arguably more powerful than it needs to be, the company nixed the optical drive, making the Mini rather less appealing as a media PC for those with drawers full of discs.

After watching the price for a few weeks, it finally dropped to about $250 with shipping, so I bought it. The audio tower was easy to assemble, maybe taking about an hour or so to put together. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. The audio tower looks great, especially sitting next to the TV stand, and it's sturdy. There's plenty of room for my extra components too, relieving the overload on my TV stand. If you have a need for an audio rack, you'll like this one. A little time consumming to put together, I suggest you lay all the parts out on a table, to easily identify the parts. When you open the package you can see the immediate quality! Had the deliver of the package open the package to check for damage, none was found and the two who delivered the tower were extremely impressed as I was to the quality of Bush Furniture. Once I put everything together it looked simply great! It not only helped organize the items I placed on the tower but enhanced the room with its beauty and cable management. Will look at other Bush Furniture in the Future. The Rosebud Cherry is a must have!
